The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 24, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $6,485.78, which represents the rent owing to July 14, 2021 and the Landlord's filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest owing on the deposit. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $26.14 per day in compensation for the use of the unit from July 15, 2021 to the date the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 24, 2021, he will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
