What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord, Michal Sliwinski. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of Michal Sliwinski's residential occupation. The tenancy is terminated, but eviction is delayed until June 30, 2024 to allow the Tenants time to find alternative housing. The Tenants must pay the Landlords compensation for use of the unit from February 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024, less the rent deposit and interest.
