What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord and Tenants reached an agreement to terminate the tenancy on December 31, 2021, with the Tenants agreeing to pay rent arrears in installments.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective December 31, 2021. The Tenants must move out by that date and pay $115.89 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting January 1, 2022 until they move out. The Tenants also owe interest on any outstanding arrears or compensation at 2% annually starting February 27, 2022.
