What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to a guest of the Tenant assaulting the Landlord, and the Tenant causing undue damage to a door and lock in the common area.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 29, 2020. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,500 for the cost of repairing the damaged property and $175 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 29, 2020, they will owe interest starting August 30, 2020.
