What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on April 30, 2020, prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,904.63, which represents the rent arrears and costs outstanding for the period ending April 30, 2020, less the last month's rent deposit and the interest owing on the deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 20, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
