What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for his father's caregiver for at least one year.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 31, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by this date. If the Tenant does not vacate, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction enforcement starting November 1, 2022. The Tenant shall pay $22.36 per day for use of the unit if they remain after October 31, 2022.
