What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant causing wilful undue damage to the rental unit and seriously impairing the safety of another person in the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated as of March 8, 2021, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $400 for the reasonable costs of repairing the wilful damage caused by the Tenant, and $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 11, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
