What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord sold the rental unit effective November 9, 2020 and is only seeking to collect arrears of rent to that date.
The ruling
The Tenants shall pay to the Landlord $4,721.94, which represents the amount of rent owing up to November 9, 2020. The Tenants shall also pay to the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before February 8, 2021, the Tenants will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
