What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord sold the rental unit effective July 30, 2020 and is only seeking to collect arrears of rent to that date.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,800 in rent arrears and $175 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 8, 2021, the Tenant will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
