What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's poor hygiene causing damage, pests, and odor that substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex by the Landlord or another tenant.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 29, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $11,186.00, which includes rent arrears, the cost of filing the application, and the reasonable costs of repairing and/or replacing the damaged property. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 29, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 5.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
