What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 28, 2021. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 13, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $2,688.18 to the Landlord or the Board in trust by that date. If payment is not made, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction. The Tenant owes $153.66 plus $43.77 per day starting February 3, 2022, for each day of occupation.
