What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing but did not attend.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying $5,628.90 by November 28, 2022. If not voided, the Tenants must move out by November 28, 2022, and pay $1,613.22 plus $59.65 per day from October 25, 2022, until they move out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting November 29, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
