What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to pay rent from September 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective January 23, 2022. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 8, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amounts. The Tenant must pay $4,657.79 plus $39.43 per day starting January 29, 2022, for rent arrears and compensation. The Tenant can void the eviction order by paying $6,125.22 by January 31, 2022, or $7,324.44 by February 8, 2022. If payment is not made, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting February 9, 2022.
