What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques. Tenants did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective November 26, 2022, when the Tenants vacated the rental unit. The Tenants are ordered to pay $6,276.77 to the Landlord, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date, NSF charges, and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit.
