What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing but did not attend.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying $9,787.20 by October 24, 2022. If not voided, the Tenants must move out by October 24, 2022, and pay $6,125.10 plus $57.39 per day from September 28, 2022, until they vacate. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting October 25, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
