What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued by the Board on October 19, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 12, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $9,076 by March 12, 2022, which includes rent arrears up to March 1, 2022 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by March 12, 2022, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting March 13, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by March 12, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
