What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The tenants had not vacated the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 16, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $6,364.21 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $49.64 per day starting May 6, 2021 until they vacate the unit. The Tenants can void the eviction order by paying $7,858.28 on or before May 16, 2021.
