What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 17, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,986.20, representing the rent arrears, application fee, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $41.57 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting November 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 17, 2021, interest will accrue at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
