What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant did not pay the total rent for March 1, 2020 to April 30, 2020 and made no payments after the application was filed.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant terminated on May 31, 2020. The last month's rent deposit shall be applied to the month of May 2020. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,216.00, which represents the amount of rent owing up to April 30, 2020, and $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by November 2, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
