What happened

Landlord applied for an order to collect rent arrears from Tenants. Tenants vacated the rental unit on September 30, 2020, prior to the hearing. Tenant Pamela Savone testified that her co-tenant did not pay her share of the rent, leading to the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective September 30, 2020, the date the Tenants vacated the rental unit. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $2,554.77, which includes rent arrears up to September 30, 2020, and NSF charges, less the $200 key deposit owed to the Tenants. The Tenants must also pay the $201 application filing fee.
