What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous mediated settlement. The Tenants did not pay the lawful rent for July and August 2021, as well as an additional $500 payment that was required by the settlement.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants is terminated, and the Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before September 4, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $6,775.95, which represents the rent owing up to August 24, 2021 and the costs related to the application fee for the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the rent deposit. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $56.33 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting August 25, 2021 until the date the Tenants move out of the unit.
