What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on July 21, 2021, prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of July 21, 2021, the date the Landlord took vacant possession of the rental unit. The Landlord shall waive the amount outstanding, inclusive of rent arrears and costs, after the deduction of the last month's rent deposit and interest on the last month's rent deposit.
