What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation by his spouse's child for at least one year. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 31, 2023. The Tenants must vacate by this date or face eviction by the Sheriff starting April 1, 2023. If the Tenants do not move out by March 31, 2023, they must pay the Landlord $72.23 per day until they vacate. The last month's rent deposit will be applied to the last month of tenancy.
