What happened

Tenant filed T6 and T2 applications alleging the Landlord failed to maintain the rental unit, illegally entered the unit, interfered with the tenant's reasonable enjoyment, and harassed the tenant. The Landlord was found to have illegally entered the unit and harassed the tenant, but did not fail to maintain the unit or interfere with the tenant's enjoyment.

The ruling

The Landlord shall pay the Tenant $10.51 for the cost of repairing the toilet, and $600 for 20% of the rent difference the Tenant incurred for 12 months after vacating the unit due to the Landlord's harassment. The Landlord must pay the full amount of $610.51 by March 15, 2022, after which interest will accrue.
