What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and substantial interference with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex. The Tenants did not attend the second hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $22,081.67 by December 31, 2022 or $24,291.67 by January 6, 2023 to void the order. If the Tenants do not void the order, they must pay $15,178.05 and vacate the unit by January 6, 2023. The Tenants are also ordered to maintain the property in a state of ordinary cleanliness and not tamper with smoke detectors.
