What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served valid N4 and N8 notices, but the Tenant did not respond or pay the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 20, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $18,517.16, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and the application fee, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant pays $22,200 by February 20, 2022, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue. If the unit is not vacated by February 20, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
