What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (CEL-94992-20) issued on November 1, 2021. The Tenant failed to pay the lawful rent for December by December 20, 2021, as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The Board ordered that the Tenant pay the Landlord $28,351.00 for rent owing up to December 31, 2021, plus $48.00 per day for compensation starting January 1, 2022 until the Tenant moves out. The tenancy was terminated as per the previous order CEL-94992-20. If full payment is not made by January 31, 2022, interest will be charged at 2.00% annually from February 1, 2022.
