What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant seriously impairing the safety of the Superintendent by threatening him with a baseball bat when the Superintendent entered the rental unit to address an emergency flooding situation.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 26, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $201 for the application filing fee and $27.81 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting August 31, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 26, 2023, they will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by March 31, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
