What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on November 24, 2020. The Tenant failed to pay $1,500 towards arrears by December 15, 2020 and January 2021 rent by January 1, 2021 as per the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 12, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlords $1,381.29 plus $51.29 per day starting February 2, 2021 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 12, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
