What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to Tenants' failure to meet a condition specified in the mediated settlement issued by the Board on June 20, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before August 20, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlords $19,325.00, which represents the rent owing up to August 9, 2021 and the costs related to the application fee for the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlords owe on the rent deposit. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlords $74.79 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting August 10, 2021 to the date the Tenants move out of the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by August 20, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
