What happened
Landlord applied for termination of tenancy and eviction due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 27, 2022. The Tenant must pay $2,722.78 in arrears and $17.42 per day from August 10, 2022, until vacating the unit. If not vacated by August 27, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
