The ruling
The tenancy was terminated effective May 10, 2020, the date the Tenants vacated the rental unit. The Tenants are ordered to pay $4,195.00 to the Landlords, which represents the amount of rent owing and compensation up to February 26, 2021, less the rent deposit. The Tenants shall also pay $59.18 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting February 27, 2021 to the date the Tenants move out of the unit, and $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by March 9, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
