What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants were in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed but did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from November 1, 2019 to February 29, 2020. The Tenants moved out of the rental unit on February 29, 2020.
The ruling
The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $4,650.00 in rent arrears and $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by February 13, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 3.00% annually on the outstanding balance starting March 14, 2021.
