What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The matter is adjourned to a date to be decided by the Board. The Tenant and the Landlord shall give to the other and file with the Board a copy of any document, photograph, receipt, recording or like thing upon which they intend to rely at the hearing. The parties shall exchange information by email or respect social distancing measures required by public health in the service and filing of all documents.
