What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on August 31, 2020, prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $5,402.04, which represents the amount of rent owing up to August 31, 2020 less the deposit being held by the Landlord. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by October 30, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
