What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants owed significant rent arrears and had not made any payments since the application was filed. The Landlords served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying the specified amounts. If not voided, Tenants must vacate by October 16, 2022, and pay $30,711.47 plus $108.49 per day from August 18, 2022, until they move out. The Landlords may file for eviction enforcement starting October 17, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
