What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant, another occupant, or someone Tenant permitted causing undue damage to the premises, substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, and committing an illegal act or carrying out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or the residential complex.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $17,458.50, which represents the reasonable costs of repairing the damage and replacing the damaged property. The Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before January 26, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at a rate of 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
