What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord also claimed administration charges related to NSF cheques.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 24, 2021, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,762.33, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and NSF cheque charges, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 23, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
