What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $10,354.25, which includes rent arrears up to the sale date of the rental unit and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 30, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
