What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's daughter.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 31, 2023. The Landlord must pay the Tenant one month's rent compensation by February 28, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $41.10 per day in compensation starting February 1, 2023 until the Tenant vacates. The Landlord must return the $250 deposit to the Tenant.
