What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 8, 2024. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $17,066.96, which includes rent arrears up to March 28, 2024, and the cost of the previous application. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $49.32 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting March 29, 2024 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 8, 2024, the Tenant will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
