What happened
Landlord applied for an order terminating the tenancy of Tenant because his employment as superintendent ended. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $8,163.54 in compensation for use of the rental unit after the one-week period following the termination of his employment as superintendent. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 31, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
