What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Tenant gave a notice to terminate the tenancy. The Tenant's notice did not comply with the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 as it did not provide at least 60 days notice, but the Landlord agreed to the termination.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for eviction enforcement starting February 1, 2022.
