What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant committing an illegal act (assault) and seriously impairing the safety of another person (staff member) in the residential complex.
The ruling
The Landlord's application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant is denied, subject to the condition that the Tenant shall not commit any illegal acts or seriously impair the safety of another person in the residential complex. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 31, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
