What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord also claimed NSF cheque charges.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 4, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,451.63, which includes rent arrears up to August 24, 2021 and NSF cheque charges, plus $10.49 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting August 25, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. The Tenant must also pay the $186.00 application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 4, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
