What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the terms of a previous mediated settlement. The Tenant did not meet the conditions specified in the settlement, including not paying rent and arrears by the agreed dates.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective June 11, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $6,713 for rent arrears and application costs. If the Tenant does not pay by June 11, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by June 11, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
