What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous mediated settlement. The tenant did not pay the monthly rent or $100 in arrears by the agreed upon date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 30, 2021. The tenant must pay the landlord $1,921 in rent arrears and application fees, plus $2.79 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting January 20, 2021 until the tenant moves out. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by January 30, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
