What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on August 22, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from June 1, 2020 to August 22, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,846, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 6, 2023, they will start owing interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
