What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous mediated settlement. The tenants did not pay the lawful monthly rent plus $250 towards the arrears by the agreed upon date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 27, 2021. The tenants must pay the landlord $19,152.62 in rent arrears and compensation by April 27, 2021. If the full amount is not paid by that date, the tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting April 28, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by April 27, 2021, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction.
