What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Tenant committing an illegal act or carrying out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or the residential complex involving the production of an illegal drug, the trafficking in an illegal drug or the possession of an illegal drug for the purposes of trafficking.

The ruling

The Landlord's application is granted. The Tenant, any occupant of the rental unit or any guests of the Tenant shall not engage in any illegal activities in the rental unit or in the residential complex for the period of September 20, 2022 to September 19, 2023. If the Tenant fails to follow this order, the Landlord may apply to the Board, without notice to the Tenant, for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 1, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 4.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
